MOBITEK System Sdn. Bhd. has collaborated with University of Nottingham, Malaysia Campus, on the following projects:

• Data Communications Between PC to PC via Efficient SMS Compression - student Gan Jia Jian used GSM Modem with Arithmetic Compression Technique to compress 2 SMS into 1 SMS.

• Efficient Compression and Encryption of SMS Messages - student Amar Faiz Zainal Abidin used GSM Modem to send compressed and encrypted SMS.

• Effective Text Compression For Short Messages - student Lau Yee Kuan used GSM Modem to send compressed and encrypted SMS.

• Vehicle Tracking System Using GPS and SMS - student Akila Wajirakumara used GPS and GSM Modem to track vehicle.
